- BIOGRAPHIE -

Ormiston est le projet solo du montréalais Nicola Ormiston, chanteur, auteur-compositeur et producteur d’une musique solaire et décontractée. Entre indie pop, chillwave et yacht rock, on y retrouve des influences à la Toro Y Moi, MGMT, en plus d’une empreinte électro-disco.

En 2020, il signe avec le label canadien Lisbon Lux Records et fait paraître son premier album Hammer Down (2021). Cinématographique et plein de groove, son album explore les histoires d'amour et les relations ratées sur une indie-pop optimiste. L'opus est bien accueilli par le public et la pièce Time Fades figure d’ailleurs dans le dernier film de Pete Davidson, Meet Cute.

Son prochain album, Highway Restaurant, est prévu pour l’automne 2023.

Ormiston is the solo project of Montreal's Nicola Ormiston, singer, songwriter and producer of a sunny and relaxed music. Between indie pop, chillwave and yacht rock, we find influences like Toro Y Moi, MGMT as well as an electro-disco touch.

In 2020, he signed with Canadian label Lisbon Lux Records and released his debut album Hammer Down (2021). Cinematic and full of groove, his album explores love stories and failed relationships on optimistic indie-pop. The opus was well received by the public and the song Time Fades was also featured in Pete Davidson's latest film, Meet Cute.

Ormiston's next album, Highway Restaurant, is scheduled for release in the fall of 2023.
