Depuis sa création en 2023, DVTR a définitivement brassé la scène punk canadienne, cumulant les critiques élogieuses, les spectacles survoltés, les best-of de fin d’années et autres prix de lèche-bottes avec son premier EP de 12 minutes « BONJOUR ». Entre les B-52s et le punk DIY de Jay Reatard, le duo saccageur déverse son fiel sur sa musique rapide, souvent surprenante, parfois boiteuse, toujours salvatrice. En concert, l’attitude complètement imprévisible de Demi Lune & Jean Divorce brise toutes les barrières de la langue, les ayant déjà portés sur des scènes partout dans le monde, du Mexique au Royaume-Uni, en passant par le Japon.
DVTR c’est court, incisif, ça répète, ça répète, ça répète; c’est le seul moyen que le message passe un peu. Vasectomie pour tous, ACAB, zeitgeist, etcetera, etcetera.

Since its creation in 2023, DVTR has definitely been shaking up the Canadian punk scene, racking up dazzling reviews, best of 2023 lists, soldout shows and some bootlicking awards for their first ever EP “BONJOUR”. Somewhere between the B-52s and fast DIY punk à la Jay Reatard, Demi Lune & Jean Divorce’s troublemaking duo pours out its bile on often surprising, sometimes awkward, and always salvatory soundscapes. Its unpredictable stage antics break all language barriers, taking the band everywhere on tour, from Mexico to Japan.
DVTR is French-speaking, female-fronted, short and not sweet at all: it repeats, it repeats, it repeats – that’s the only way to get the message across. Vasectomy for all, ACAB, Rhum coke and MDMA, etcetera, etcetera. A simple fuck off to anyone who’d need a reminder before everything burns?
